Infringement notices

38. Infringement notices



(1) An inspector or a police member may serve an infringement notice on a
person whom the inspector or police member believes has committed an
infringement referred to in the Schedule requiring the person to pay the
penalty for that infringement specified in the Schedule.

(2) An offence referred to in subsection (1) for which an infringement notice
may be served is an infringement offence within the meaning of the
Infringements Act 2006.





(3) For the purposes of subsection (1), an infringement notice must be in the
form required by the Infringements Act 2006 and may contain any additional
prescribed details.
