Appointment of persons as inspectors

36. Appointment of persons as inspectors

The Secretary may, by instrument, appoint as an inspector-

   (a)  a person nominated by the Chief Executive Officer of a council within
        the meaning of the Local Government Act 1989 and employed by, or
        providing services to, that council;

   (b)  an employee or member of a class of employees employed under Part 3 of
        the Public Administration Act 2004.
