TOBACCO ACT 1987 - SECT 36
Appointment of persons as inspectorsThe Secretary may, by instrument, appoint as an inspector—
S. 36(a) amended by No. 9/2020 s. 390(Sch. 1 item 102).
(a) a person nominated by the Chief Executive Officer of a council within the meaning of the Local Government Act 2020 and employed by, or providing services to, that council;

(b) an employee or member of a class of employees employed under Part 3 of the Public Administration Act 2004 ;
S. 36(c) inserted by No. 13/2022 s. 57(2).
(c) an authorised officer appointed under section 224 of the Local Government Act 1989 by a Council whose municipal district is in the proximity of an alpine resort within the meaning of the Alpine Resorts Act 1983 ;
S. 36(d) inserted by No. 13/2022 s. 57(2).
(d) any other person engaged by the Secretary or seconded to assist the Secretary in performing the Secretary's functions under this Act.
