9Z. Information disclosure by Safety Director



(1) The Safety Director may, if the Safety Director thinks it necessary for
the safe operation of public transport, disclose information obtained or
collected by the Safety Director in the performance or exercise of his or her
functions or powers under this or any other Act to any other person.

(2) The Safety Director may, if he or she thinks it desirable for the
promotion of the safe operation of public transport, publish any information,
including a report arising out of-

   (a)  an investigation by him or her of a public transport safety matter; or

   (b)  an inquiry under section 59 of the Rail Safety Act 2006.

(3) A publication under subsection (2) must not identify a person by name.
