Delegation

9Y. Delegation

The Director, Public Transport Safety may, by instrument, delegate any of his
or her functions or powers under this Act, the Rail Safety Act 2006 or the
Public Transport Competition Act 1995 (other than this power of delegation)
to-

   (a)  a transport safety officer; or

   (b)  any employee employed under Part 3 of the
        Public Administration Act 2004 to enable the Director, Public
        Transport Safety to carry out his or her functions; or

   (c)  a consultant, contractor or agent engaged by him or her.
