Appointment and terms and conditions

9L. Appointment and terms and conditions



(1) The Director, Public Transport Safety is to be appointed by the Governor
in Council, and may be appointed for a period of up to 5 years.

(2) A person appointed as the Director, Public Transport Safety is to hold
office on the terms and conditions (including remuneration and allowances) set
out in the instrument by which he or she was appointed.



(3) A person who holds, or has held, the office of Director, Public Transport
Safety may be re-appointed.

(4) A person who is the Director, Public Transport Safety is not, in respect
of his or her office as the Director, Public Transport Safety, subject to the
Public Administration Act 2004.
