General powers

83D. General powers



(1) The Chief Investigator may investigate any public transport safety matter
or marine safety matter that occurs in Victoria.

(2) The Chief Investigator may do all things that are necessary or convenient
to enable him or her to carry out his or her functions.

(3) Without limiting subsection (2), the Chief Investigator may-

   (a)  acquire, hold or dispose of real or personal property;

   (b)  engage consultants, contractors or agents.
