Chief Investigator to act independently

83C. Chief Investigator to act independently

Subject to section 85B, the Chief Investigator is not subject to the direction
or control of the Minister in performing or exercising his or her functions or
powers. Note Section 85B authorises the Minister to direct the Chief
Investigator to investigate a public transport safety or marine safety matter.
