Swinburne University of Technology Act 1992 - SECT 23

Vice Chancellor

23. Vice Chancellor



(1) The Council must appoint a person to be the Vice Chancellor of the
University.

(2) The Vice Chancellor holds office, unless he or she sooner resigns, retires
or otherwise ceases to hold office, for such term and on such conditions as
the Council determines and may be re-appointed.

(3) Subject to this Act, the Vice Chancellor is the chief executive officer of
the University and has such powers and duties as prescribed.

(4) Unless the Statutes otherwise prescribe, the Vice Chancellor may delegate
any of the powers and duties of the Vice Chancellor, other than this power of
delegation, to any person or body of persons.
