Purpose

1. Purpose



The purpose of this Act is to establish the
Swinburne University of Technology, to improve access to university education
in the Outer Eastern region of Melbourne and to provide for the merger with
the University of Swinburne Institute of Technology, Swinburne College of
Technical and Further Education and Prahran College of Technical and Further
Education.
