Transitional

49. Transitional



(1) This Act as amended by section 19 of the Corrections and Other Justice
Legislation (Amendment) Act 2006 applies to charges filed on or after the
commencement of section 19 of that Act, whether the alleged breach of the
extended supervision order occurred before or after that commencement.

(2) Part 4A as inserted by section 20 of the Corrections and Other Justice
Legislation (Amendment) Act 2006 applies to any change of name application
received by the Registrar before the commencement of section 20 of that Act,
if the change of name had not been registered before that commencement.





(3) In subsection (2)-

change of name application has the same meaning as in section 41B; Registrar
means the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages under the
Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act 1996.
