Who is a corresponding registrable offender?

9. Who is a corresponding registrable offender?



(1) A corresponding registrable offender is a person who-

   (a)  had at any time (whether before, on or after the commencement of
        section 8 of the Sex Offenders Registration (Amendment) Act 2005) been
        in a foreign jurisdiction and at that time had been required to report
        to the corresponding registrar in that jurisdiction; and

   (b)  would, if he or she were currently in that jurisdiction, be still
        required to report to that corresponding registrar.



(2) A person referred to in subsection (1) is a corresponding registrable
offender even if the offence in respect of which he or she is required to
report in the foreign jurisdiction is not a registrable offence for the
purposes of this Act.
