Safety on Public Land Act 2004 - SECT 1

PART 1 PRELIMINARY

Purposes

1. Purposes

The main purposes of this Act are-

   (a)  to provide for public safety in State forests by providing for the
        establishment and enforcement of public safety zones;

   (b)  to amend the Forests Act 1958 with respect to powers of committees of
        management in reserved forests;

   (c)  to consequentially amend the Conservation, Forests and Lands Act 1987.
