SALE OF LAND ACT 1962 - SECT 48B
Infringement notices(1) An authorised officer may serve an infringement notice on any person who the officer has reason to believe has committed an offence against this Act or the regulations that is prescribed for the purposes of this subsection.
(2) An offence referred to in subsection (1) for which an infringement notice may be served is an infringement offence within the meaning of the Infringements Act 2006 .
(3) The infringement penalty for an offence prescribed for the purposes of subsection (1) is the prescribed infringement penalty.
(4) In this section "authorised officer" means—

(a) a person appointed under section
142 of the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act 2012 ;

(c) a person authorised in writing
by the Director of Consumer Affairs Victoria.
