PART 1 PRELIMINARY

Purpose

1. Purpose



The purpose of this Act is-

   (a)  to give effect within Victoria to the United Nations Convention on
        Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; and

   (b)  to amend the Instruments Act 1958 and the Goods Act 1958 to repeal
        certain requirements for contracts to be in writing.
