Reservation of name under Corporations Act

60. Reservation of name under Corporations Act







(1) As soon as possible after the making of an Order under section 59, the
converting body to which the Order applies must lodge an application with ASIC
under section 152 of the Corporations Act for the reservation of the name
specified in the Order.

(2) Subsection (1) does not apply if the converting body has already reserved
the name.

(3) If the name is not available to the converting body, the converting body
must lodge an application as soon as possible with ASIC for the reservation of
a name that-

   (a)  is substantially similar to the name that is not available; and

   (b)  is approved by the Treasurer.
