Chief executive officer and deputy

40. Chief executive officer and deputy



(1) A chief executive officer, or deputy chief executive officer, of a State
business corporation holds office, subject to this Act, on a full-time basis
and on such other terms and conditions as are approved by the relevant
Minister on the recommendation of the board and specified in the instrument of
appointment.

(2) The board of a State business corporation may remove the chief executive
officer, or deputy chief executive officer, from office.

(3) A director of a State business corporation is not eligible to be appointed
as, or to act as, chief executive officer or deputy chief executive officer of
the corporation, except with the approval of the relevant Minister.
