Statutory rules to be laid before Parliament

15. Statutory rules to be laid before Parliament



(1) On or before the 6th sitting day after notice of the making of a
statutory rule has been published in the Government Gazette under section
17(2), a copy of the statutory rule must be laid before each House of the
Parliament.

(2) A failure to comply with subsection (1) does not affect the operation or
effect of the statutory rule but the Scrutiny Committee may report the failure
to each House of the Parliament.

(3) A copy of each statutory rule laid under subsection (1) must as soon as
possible after being so laid be posted or delivered to each member of
Parliament who has requested a copy of that statutory rule.
