Procedure in third party applications

19. Procedure in third party applications



(1) This section applies if an application for an intervention order or an
application under section 26 is made by a person other than the affected
person or a police officer.





(2) The court must not commence or continue the hearing of the application if
either of the following persons objects to the application being heard and
determined-

   (a)  the affected person;

   (b)  if the affected person is a child, the parent (if any) who consented
        under section 11(1)(c)(iii) to the making of the application for an
        intervention order.

(3) This section does not apply if the applicant under section 26 is the
respondent.
