Secretary may renew licence

56. Secretary may renew licence



(1) The Secretary may renew a timber harvesting operator's licence if
satisfied that the applicant for renewal continues to have the appropriate
qualifications, competencies or experience to carry out the prescribed
activity or class of activity to which the licence relates-

   (a)  in a safe manner; and

   (b)  in accordance with any Code of Practice relating to timber harvesting.

(2) The Secretary may refuse to renew a timber harvesting operator's licence
if the licence has been cancelled or suspended at any time.
