Power to amend or vary allocation order

17. Power to amend or vary allocation order



(1) The Minister, by order published in the Government Gazette, may amend or
vary an allocation order for the following purposes-

   (a)  to fix an obvious error or mistake;

   (b)  to change permitted activities or conditions referred to in section
        15(1)(b) or (c);

   (c)  in the case of an amendment or variation relating to the allocation of
        timber resources, after a review under section 18.

(2) An order made under subsection (1) amending or varying an allocation order
takes effect-

   (a)  on the date the order is published in the Government Gazette; or

   (b)  if a later date is specified in the order, on that later date.
