Minister may arrange audits

10. Minister may arrange audits



(1) If the Minister believes it is appropriate to do so, the Minister may ask
an appropriately qualified person to audit information provided in the
Secretary's report under section 8 relating to status, performance or
achievement in relation to the indicators determined by the Minister under
section 6.

(2) In carrying out an audit under subsection (1), a person may audit-

   (a)  any information provided to the Secretary by VicForests under section
        9, including any information used by VicForests to prepare the
        information provided to the Secretary under that section; and

   (b)  any other information used by the Secretary to prepare the Secretary's
        report under section 8.
