Second-Hand Dealers and Pawnbrokers Act 1989 - SECT 26C

26C. Documents available for inspection
(1) An endorsed pawnbroker must at all reasonable times at each premises at
which that endorsed pawnbroker carries on business as a pawnbroker keep all
documents relating to the business carried on at those premises available for
inspection by an inspector in a form in which they can be readily and
expeditiously inspected by an inspector.
Penalty: 50 penalty units.
(2) If the endorsement of an endorsed pawnbroker has been surrendered or
cancelled in the last 3 years, the endorsed pawnbroker must make all documents
relating to the former business available for inspection by an inspector in a
form and at a place where they can be readily and expeditiously inspected by
an inspector.
Penalty: 50 penalty units.
(3) If the endorsement of an endorsed pawnbroker has been suspended, the
endorsed pawnbroker must during the period of the suspension, make all
documents relating to the business of the pawnbroker available for inspection
by an inspector in a form and at a place where they can be readily and
expeditiously inspected by an inspector.
Penalty: 50 penalty units.
