Unlawful interference with surveillance devices

31. Unlawful interference with surveillance devices

Unless authorised by or under this Act, a person must not knowingly interfere
with, damage, remove or retrieve a surveillance device that has been lawfully
installed on premises or in or on an object by a law enforcement officer-

   (a)  in the circumstances referred to in section 7(2)(c); or

   (b)  in accordance with a warrant, emergency authorisation, corresponding
        warrant or corresponding emergency authorisation.

Penalty: In the case of a natural person, level 7 imprisonment (2 years
maximum) or a level 7 fine (240 penalty units maximum) or both;
In the case of a body corporate, 1200 penalty units.
