Who may issue warrants?

14. Who may issue warrants?



(1) A Supreme Court judge may issue any warrant under this Division.

(2) A magistrate may issue-

   (a)  a surveillance device warrant that authorises the use of a tracking
        device only; or

   (b)  a retrieval warrant in respect of a tracking device authorised under a
        warrant referred to in paragraph (a), if a magistrate issued the
        original warrant.
