Surveying Act 2004 - SECT 38
Interference with survey pegs etc.
38. Interference with survey pegs etc.
(1) A person must not, without reasonable excuse, interfere with a survey peg
or survey mark placed in position by or under the direction of a licensed
surveyor.
Penalty: 10 penalty units.
(2) For the purposes of section 86 of the Sentencing Act 1991, compensation
for loss or destruction of, or damage to, property as a result of the offence
shall include any expenses incurred in replacing or re-establishing the survey
peg or survey mark.
