Rewards for complying with conditions

18ZJ. Rewards for complying with conditions



(1) The Drug Court may, on its own initiative, confer a reward from time to
time on an offender who is or has been fully or substantially complying with
the conditions attached to a drug treatment order by doing one or more of the
following-

   (a)  varying the treatment and supervision part of the order under
        subsection (2);

   (b)  varying or cancelling an order under section 18ZL(1)(c), (d) or (e);





   (c)  making an order that some or all of a period for which the custodial
        part of the drug treatment order is activated under section
        18ZL(1)(f), but which the offender is yet to serve in a secure custody
        facility, is no longer activated;

   (d)  conferring on the offender any other reward that the Drug Court
        considers appropriate.

(2) The treatment and supervision part of the order may be varied by-

   (a)  adding or removing program conditions; or

   (b)  varying one or more core conditions, other than the condition referred
        to in section 18ZF(1)(a), or program conditions, for example to
        reduce-

   (i)  the frequency of treatment; or

   (ii) the degree of supervision; or

   (iii) the frequency of drug or alcohol testing.
