Contracting out

7. Contracting out



(1) A provision in a contract or document concerning a retirement village
which purports to exclude, modify or restrict the operation of this Act is
void.

(2) If a contract or document includes a provision which is void under
subsection (1), that subsection does not affect the validity or enforceability
of other provisions of the contract or document, in so far as they are
severable from the void provision.
