Transitional

44. Transitional



(1) Any act matter or thing of a continuing nature commenced under this Act or
the regulations by or against or in relation to the Commissioner for Corporate
Affairs and existing immediately before the commencement of section 44 of the
Fair Trading (Inspectors Powers and Other Amendments) Act 1999 may be
continued and completed on and after that commencement by or against or in
relation to the Director.





(2) If, immediately before the commencement of section 44 of the Fair Trading
(Inspectors Powers and Other Amendments) Act 1999, proceedings to which the
Commissioner for Corporate Affairs was a party were pending or existing in any
court or tribunal, then, on and after that commencement, the Director is
substituted for the Commissioner for Corporate Affairs as a party to the
proceedings and has the same rights and obligations in the proceedings as the
Commissioner for Corporate Affairs had.
