Resident to be given certain documents

19. Resident to be given certain documents



(1) At least 21 days before a resident enters into any residence contract, the
owner or the owner's agent must give a copy of the contract to the resident.

Penalty: 200 penalty units.

(2) At least 21 days before a resident enters into any management contract
with the manager of a retirement village, the manager must give to the
resident the following documents-

   (a)  a copy of the management contract;

   (b)  the disclosure statement;

   (c)  the by-laws of the village;

   (d)  all other documents referred to in the definition of residence
        documents.

Penalty: 200 penalty units.
