Purpose of accreditation

35. Purpose of accreditation

The purpose of accreditation under this Part is to attest that a rail operator
has demonstrated to the satisfaction of the Safety Director that the rail
operator has the competence and capacity to manage the risks to safety
associated with the rail operations for which accreditation was sought.
