Non-standard number plates and replacement number plates

5AE. Non-standard number plates and replacement number plates



(1) The Corporation may, in accordance with the regulations, issue
non-standard number plates or replacement number plates for a fee fixed by the
Corporation or determined at auction or by inviting tenders.

(2) Despite anything to the contrary in this Act, a fee fixed for the issue of
a non-standard number plate or a replacement number plate may vary according
to the design, size, colour or material of the particular number plate or
class of number plate and is not required to be related in any way to the cost
to the Corporation of providing any service.
