Direction not to renew licence

19A. Direction not to renew licence



(1) Despite section 19(4), if directed by the sheriff under section 114 of the
Infringements Act 2006, the Corporation must not renew a driver licence or
permit of a person in respect of whom that direction applies until notified by
the sheriff that the non-renewal direction has ceased because one of the
matters referred to in section 115 of that Act has occurred.

(2) When sending a notice of renewal of a driver licence or permit in
accordance with this Act to a licence or permit holder in respect of whom a
direction has been given under section 114 of the Infringements Act 2006, the
Corporation must include in the notice of renewal a notice advising that
renewal will not be granted until one of the matters referred to in section
115 of that Act occurs because of a direction of the sheriff under section 114
of that Act.
