Chief executive officer

18. Chief executive officer



(1) Parks Victoria may appoint a person, approved by the Minister, as the
chief executive officer of Parks Victoria.

(2) The chief executive officer holds office, subject to this Act, on a
full-time basis and on the terms and conditions that are determined by the
Minister in the instrument of his or her appointment.

(3) The chief executive officer is not eligible to be appointed as a member of
Parks Victoria.

(4) It is a function of the chief executive officer to be the Director of
National Parks under the National Parks Act 1975.
