Temporary interstate visitor permit to carry on business of providing services

65. Temporary interstate visitor permit to carry on business of providing
services



(1) A person who ordinarily resides in another State or Territory, may apply
to the Chief Commissioner for a permit to carry on the business of providing
the services of other persons to carry on one or more class A security
activities in Victoria that may be authorised by a private security business
licence if-

   (a)  the person produces evidence to the satisfaction of the Chief
        Commissioner that the person is licensed or registered or otherwise
        authorised in his or her State or Territory of residence to carry on
        such a business; or

   (b)  if the law of the State or Territory in which the person is resident
        does not require a person to be licensed or registered or otherwise
        authorised to carry on such a business, the Chief Commissioner is
        satisfied as to the suitability of the person to carry on the
        business.

(2) The holder of a permit under this section does not commit an offence
against section 5 or 6 while acting under and in accordance with the permit.
