PRIVATE SECURITY ACT 2004 - SECT 129

Registered address

    (1)     The holder of a private security business licence or a private security business registration must specify to the Chief Commissioner at the time at which the licence or registration is granted (as the case requires) an address at which the holder carries on business, to which all communications and notices may be addressed.

    (2)     If the holder of a private security business licence or a private security business registration ceases to carry on business at the address specified under subsection (1), the holder must, within 7 days after the day on which the business ceases to be carried on, notify the Chief Commissioner in writing of an address at which the holder continues to carry on business under the licence or registration (as the case may be) to which all communications and notices may be addressed.

Penalty:     10 penalty units.

    (3)     The holder of a private security individual operator licence or a private security individual operator registration must specify to the Chief Commissioner at the time at which the licence or registration is granted (as the case requires) an address of the individual operator to which all communications and notices may be addressed.

    (4)     If the holder of a private security individual operator licence or a private security individual operator registration changes from the address specified under subsection (3), the holder must, within 7 days after the day on which the change is carried out, notify the Chief Commissioner in writing of an address of the individual operator to which all communications and notices may be addressed.

Penalty:     10 penalty units.
