Powers of Deputy Commissioner

6. Powers of Deputy Commissioner





(1) Anything by this or any other Act or by any regulation made under this or
any other Act appointed or authorized or required to be done or signed by the
Chief Commissioner may be done or signed by a Deputy Commissioner and shall be
as valid and effectual as if done or signed by the Chief Commissioner.

(1A) Subsection (1) does not apply to the Chief Commissioner's power to
dismiss a member of the force under section 68 or suspend a member under
section 68A.

(2) All courts judges and persons acting judicially shall take judicial notice
of the seal and signature of the Chief Commissioner, of a Deputy Commissioner,
of an Assistant Commissioner, of an Acting Chief Commissioner, of an Acting
Deputy Commissioner and of an Acting Assistant Commissioner.
