29. Allowances of retiring members to be considered when estimating gratuity
etc.

Where under this Act the amount of any gratuity or retiring allowance to be
granted to any member of the force is based upon the rate of pay of such
member of the force, such rate of pay shall be understood to include not only
the salary or wages which he may receive but likewise a money equivalent for
the several allowances to which he is entitled as a member of the force, and
the rate of this equivalent shall be estimated for each year by the ESS Board.
