Right to early retirement

16A. Right to early retirement



(1) Any member holding the rank of Chief Commissioner shall be entitled to
elect to retire upon attaining the age of 55 years or at any time thereafter.

(2) Any member of the force who becomes an officer within the meaning of the
State Superannuation Act 1988 shall be entitled to elect to retire upon
attaining the age of 50 years or at any time thereafter.
