Chief Crown Prosecutor is responsible to Director
20. Chief Crown Prosecutor is responsible to Director
(1) The Chief Crown Prosecutor is responsible to the Director for the due
performance of his or her functions and exercise of his or her powers under
this or any other Act.
(2) Nothing in subsection (1) empowers the Director to give any direction to
the Chief Crown Prosecutor with respect to-
(a) making presentment of any person for an offence in the performance of
the function of a Crown Prosecutor as mentioned in section 36(1)(a);
or
(b) the performance of his or her functions or the exercise of his or her
powers as a member of a Director's Committee or of the Committee for
Public Prosecutions; or
(c) the performance of a function or the exercise of a power by the Chief
Crown Prosecutor under section 29.
