POWERS OF ATTORNEY ACT 2014 - SECT 18
Operation of powers of attorney for security(1) A power of attorney for security that is given to secure a proprietary interest may be given to the person entitled to the proprietary interest and to any person deriving title to that proprietary interest under that person.
(2) A person who is given a power of attorney for security as a person deriving title to a proprietary interest under another person is an attorney under the power for all purposes of the power.
(3) Subsections (1) and (2) do not affect any right to appoint a substitute attorney given by the power of attorney.
