Short title and commencement

1. Short title and commencement



(1) This Act may be cited as the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982.

(2) This Act shall come into operation on the first day on which the following
Acts of the Commonwealth, with or without amendments, are in operation,
namely, the Seas and Submerged Lands Amendment Act 1980, the
Coastal Waters (State Powers) Act 1980, the
Coastal Waters (State Title) Act 1980 and the
Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Amendment Act 1980.

(3) The Minister shall as soon as is practicable after the commencement of
this Act cause notice of the commencement to be published in the Gazette.
