Alien friends may hold etc. real and personal property

27. Alien friends may hold etc. real and personal property

Notwithstanding any law or usage to the contrary every alien friend resident
in Victoria may take by representation, acquire and hold either by grant from
the Crown or otherwise and may convey, assign, devise, bequeath or otherwise
dispose of every description of property whether real or personal in the same
manner as if he was a natural born subject of Her Majesty.
