Contingent remainders protected against the premature failure of a preceding estateA contingent remainder existing at any time after the second day of June One thousand eight hundred and sixty-four shall be and if the same was created before the said day shall be deemed to have been capable of taking effect, notwithstanding the determination by forfeiture, surrender or merger of any preceding estate of freehold in the same manner and in all respects as if such determination had not happened.
