Administration of Building Act

25. Administration of Building Act



(1) Despite anything to the contrary in the Building Act 1993, the Minister
administering that Act may, by order published in the Government Gazette,
declare that the administration and enforcement in relation to all or part of
a nominated project of any of the provisions of that Act and the regulations
made under that Act is to be carried out by the facilitating agency or any
other person or body specified in the order and in accordance with the terms
and conditions of the order.

(2) The Building Act 1993 and the regulations under that Act apply for the
purposes of this section as if any reference to a council or a relevant
building surveyor or a municipal building surveyor were a reference to the
facilitating agency or the relevant person or body specified in an order under
this section.





Division 5-Financial provisions
