Functions of Director

26. Functions of Director

The functions of the Director under this Act are-

   (a)  to refer to the police force for investigation prostitution-related
        complaints, including complaints from prostitutes;

   (b)  to liaise with the Authority and the police force so as-

   (i)  to assist the Authority in carrying out its functions under this Act;
        and

   (ii) to assist the police force in carrying out its functions in relation
        to prostitution;

   (c)  to refer relevant matters for investigation by the WorkCover
        Authority, the Australian Taxation Office or the Commonwealth
        Department of Immigration and Ethnic Affairs or any other body;

   (d)  any other functions conferred on him or her by or under this Act.
