Functions of Authority

25. Functions of Authority

The functions of the Authority under this Act are-

   (a)  to determine licence applications;

   (b)  to determine manager approval applications;

   (c)  to liaise with the police force so as to assist the police force in
        carrying out its functions in relation to prostitution;

   (d)  to refer relevant matters for investigation by the WorkCover
        Authority, the Australian Taxation Office or the Commonwealth
        Department of Immigration and Ethnic Affairs or any other body;

   (e)  to inform the Advisory Committee about issues and trends relevant to
        its functions.
