Prostitution Control Act 1994 - SECT 1

PART I PRELIMINARY

Purpose

1. Purpose

The main purpose of this Act is to seek to control prostitution in Victoria.
The Act also amends the Crimes Act 1958 to create a new offence related to
child sex tourism and amends the Travel Agents Act 1986 to provide for the
disqualification of licensed travel agents who are convicted of offences
against that provision or the similar provisions contained in the
Crimes Act 1914 of the Commonwealth.
