Objectives

46AR. Objectives

The objectives of the Growth Areas Authority are-

   (a)  to ensure that development in growth areas occurs in a coordinated and
        timely manner;

   (b)  to ensure that infrastructure, services and facilities are provided in
        growth areas in a coordinated and timely manner;

   (c)  to promote sustainable development of land in growth areas;

   (d)  to promote housing diversity and affordability in growth areas;

   (e)  to promote employment opportunities in growth areas;

   (f)  to ensure that land is provided for commercial and industrial purposes
        in growth areas in a coordinated and timely manner;

   (g)  to foster the development of communities in growth areas.
