Issue of permits

45. Issue of permits



(1) The Court may, on application by the secretary of the Union, issue a
permit for the purposes of this Division to an officer or employee of the
Union.

(2) The regulations may prescribe the form and content of the permit.

(3) Unless revoked earlier, a permit remains in force until the earlier of-

   (a)  3 years after the day on which it was issued;

   (b)  the time at which the person to whom it was issued ceases to be an
        officer or employee of the Union.

(4) If one or more permits issued to a person under this section have been
revoked, the Court must take that fact into account when deciding whether to
issue a further permit under this section to the person.
