Protection against self-incrimination

154. Protection against self-incrimination



(1) A natural person may refuse or fail to give information or do any other
thing that the person is required to do by or under this Act or the
regulations if giving the information or doing the other thing would tend to
incriminate the person.

(2) However, subsection (1) does not apply to-

   (a)  the production of a document or part of a document that the person is
        required by this Act or the regulations to produce; or

   (b)  the giving of a person's name or address in accordance with section
        119.
